| Special Member | What kind of pointing device are you using? I use the touch-pad/optical mouse for my laptop. It's hard to use just the touch-pad especially if you are going to scroll over 500 lines of code. Then my desktop has the old mechanical mouse. I don't want to replace it yet, still working good and the response is not bothersome. |

Posts: 87 | I hate touchpads but I deal with the one on my laptop...actually I should have put eraserhead too since I have a laptop with that as well. Only thing I don't have is a trackball, I'm not a big pen tablet fan though but I use it from time to time. I bought a Logitech G5 recently and it really is awesome, it has the great logitech MX shape and the sensor doesn't suck like my Razer diamondback does ![]() |

| Special Member | That is generally known as the "Pointing Stick". IBM dubbed it as TrackPoint, Sony trademarked it as Stick Pointer, etc. lol. |

| Ultimate Moé | I use a Logitech optical mouse that my dad's former co-worker left behind. I also used a GE optical mouse before that which basically had the same buttons as well. My brother uses a Logitech wireless mouse on his laptop while he has an optical mouse that came with his keyboard on his desktop PC. We have a couple of old MS mechanical mice that still could work given that we rebuild our old machines.

| There are 2 computers in this house. One has a trackball the other has an optical mouse. I prefer the trackman; it's faster and I don't ever have to move my right arm except to come over and type. I hate having to pick up the mouse and move it to keep moving the pointer. | |
