Posts: 93 | I use Opera, I like the way you can organize the interface and the integrated mail/rss feature. It's also faster than the rest, the sidebar reigns supreme amongst other browsers. Some other nice features are how you can zoom pages in and out and it automatically zooms pictures, etc. so that the pages aren't too disoriented. I used firefox back when it was phoenix and then firebird, then I was introduced to Opera and I haven't used Firefox since then, it doesn't hold a candle to Opera in my opinion. | lolikon | Ie Ftw Actually to those that say Firefox and any mozilla derivatives are more secure than IE, should do some research, as most major security holes for IE are gone away with because of the VM issues of Windows. As for Firefox, I use it only to make sure my pages display properly in more than one browser. Go read up a bit on security sites about some of the outstanding (2+ YEAR) security holes with firefox/mozilla builds. and FF2.0 only added to it. But, it all depends entirely on personal preference. To new PC users, both present the same risks and benefits, and while, IE7's anti-phishing, and RSS is all over FF's, FF's Tabbing and control is far superior. As for Firefox being better, because it's open source... You should take a google search to heart on that, as both of them have the same dangerous points, at least with FF, you can submit a bug on mozilla's bugtraq, and MAYBE they'll verify its an issue, and maybe they'll fix it. Whereas with IE's market share, Microsoft is more or less forced to fix them timely, or lose users to other browsers. To each, their own :P |

| Special Member | I believe more people are using FireFox because of the third party add-ons that you can develop and install to the browser. At least those are the reasons that me and my friends agree with. But the reason I never used Internet Explorer on my system is that I have to install it first. I do not even know much about the new Internet Explorer 7's capabilities. I just saw it once on my teacher's machine. Our school's workstations still uses version 6 because our IT department did not approve version 7 yet and is still undergoing some testing purposes. My Window's XP machine still has version 6 as well, if I have time, I'll try to install version 7 on that system and on this Feisty system as well. I used to install IE6 on Dapper Drake, don't know if 7 will work properly on Feisty. |

| Broadband Junkie | I use firefox for pretty much everything nowadays and just keep IE6 around as a compatibility browser. Extensions, UI customization, and themes in firefox are all very nice. *Edited poll to include Firefox and Lolifox together Current Firefox Extensions: Adblock Plus, Download Statusbar, DownThemAll!, Fasterfox, Google Preview, IE Tab, NoScript, TabMixPlus, Greasemonkey Current Firefox Theme (to match XP Theme below): Vista Black 1.0 Current XP Theme: Vista Ultimate Final ![]()
