MS Vista - Page 2

I'm not to fond of vista at the moment, I hear that Vista is constantly scanning your machine.. (other words, eating resources for no reason)... so that searches are instand, and above that its price is a bit high... £300 for the ultimate edition.. no thankyou

P.S. For all those who hate internet explorer, microsoft have built it into the "explorer.exe" process.. so you can no longer get rid of it, how nice of Bill, ey?

Well Vista wasn't as bad as i thought.
I'm still going back to XP for now though.

Ive got Vista on the laptop i use for school, no complaints tho it is a little slow at times because it only has 512mb ram

I'll keep XP for now since there doesn't seem to be any compelling reason to upgrade to it atm. That and I am in no hurry to spend the roughtly $200.00 to $300.00 buck to get it.

I don't know...but I heard a lot of negative things from gaming forums and such. I don't know if it's a good idea to purchase a laptop with vista...should I buy it? It's mainly for school work and some extra space to dump my big files :/
A laptop is not so good for gaming after all.

vista works perfectly fine 2 me i guess it is because it came w/ a 2,000 buck comp.

It depends on the laptop. My classmate has a DELL custom laptop and it can run Counter Strike: Source with all settings maxed as well as The Elder of Scrolls IV: Oblivion, all setting boosted.

You can get the laptop with Vista cause sooner or later, XP will not be supported anyways.
