How Buff is your Connection
Found this website the other night, tests your connection speed.

Its not entirely accurate, since I got a slightly faster result for a server that's located in Florida, but it gives you a general idea.

newho, here's my results:


Not good, but not bad for Shaw Cable's cheapest internet package

Well I tested it there but their upload test is too small so it it was just showing bursting speed.

The UC Santa Cruz NDT is much more accurate:

Yes, but at least the little picture thing that speedtest.net produces is compact !!!

yeah, I'm not too sure about the accuracy of this one. I know my downstream isn't 6.9 megabits, and my upstream is greater than 400 kilobits. My cable package is 5 Mbs Down, 2 Mbs Up.
