| - | The you can download the demo from Adobe's website. http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/ Other that you have to buy it or find a warez site, links to which aren't allowed here. Sorry. |

| Special Member | Why not use GIMP? you'll find it very very similar to Photoshop. And the good deal about it is it's free(GNU GPL). http://www.gimp.org/ |

| Cynical Bastard | I strongly disagree with Sithwolf. Downloading it from popular P2P programs such as limewire is dangerous. It will most likely contain viruses, and I know for a fact that Adobe monitors such programs to cut down on piracy. Your best options will always be downloading the Demo, using a free alternatives, or just buying the software. If you are going to pirate the program, stick to torrents. | Broadband Junkie | The student versions are cheap compared to the normal versions but still not inexpensive. Creative Suite 2 Premium Student Edition goes for $399 vs $1199 for the normal version. The Student Edition of Photoshop is $299 so it is not really worth it because you can get the CS2 bundle for just $100 more which includes Photoshop CS2, Illustrator CS2, InDesign CS2, GoLive CS2, Acrobat 8 Professional, Version Cue CS2, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Stock Photos, and Dreamweaver 8. If you buy the CS2 bundle close to CS3 launch then you should be able to qualify for a free upgrade to CS3.

| Cynical Bastard | As an owner of a student license of CS2, I'd like to point out that there is a limitation to the license. You cannot use your copy for commercial purposes, it is for educational use/Non-profit only. Adobe products embed meta data into ALL files saved from their products which contain the license # (Not your serial key) so they can track down the person who created the file. Adobe has in the past took legal action against people who have violated their license agreements. This also means Non-educational versions as well, so if you have an illegal copy, don't use it to make money, Adobe will know. Last edited by aceman67 : 01-17-2007 at 03:46 AM. |
