Yes, my computer needs updating... badly... But, it has hardly let me down despite my hard usage over the past four years. To its defense, I can run Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on it at 1024x768 resolution quite smoothly. Uninstalled it since I had beaten every bloody thing in the game. (>_>;)

Yes they do run hot, Have drive fans running on separate power supply. Which has done pretty good so far. The mother board has seen better days. all the capacitors are all swelled up. Won't be long now before that needs replaced. ficous cycle it is

Sounds like my rig, anytime I stress the memory or the IDE controllers, it wants to reboot. I found about 8 bubbled up caps on my mainboard too, but the whole computer is old and needs replacing, so I'll just have to wait a few more weeks.
