Emulation - Old games for free

Does anybody else here use emulators?
For those who don't know, emulators are programs that emulate old game consoles and such. Like Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Game Boy, Arcade, and etc. There are also newer consoles but those don't work as well without a better computer on hand. (They have Playstation, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, and even PS2.)

And if anybody is interested, I will post up a couple links.

It's not really free, they just chose not to go after you for old games.

And yeah, the only emulators that worked are the older ones. There are ones for PS2 and Xbox, but they usually works for only one or two titles.

if only sega naomi can be emulated properly, i'll be going with emulation...since i'm only emulating arcade games...the best system that was cracked for me was the cps2 only, i miss those marvel vs. street fighter days...lol..

Wasn't Naomi the arcade machine version of the Dreamcast?

true but not quite, dreamcast has it's own unique engine which was primarily based from the NAOMI system, so both of them are not totally the same, the NAOMI has greater performance and capabilities..but still, that makes porting of NAOMI based games to DC easily...speaking of DC, did you know that it re-released in japan last feb 2006?

YES! I Love Marvel Vs Capcom!
Prob my favorite game to emulate, I play online against my friend ever so often.
Also Metal Slug is pretty awesome...but it is only 5 levels AND is impossible to beat without the unlimited credits.

my friend's girlfriend is a very good player of metal slug...we went to local arcade and i think she beat metal slug 1 and 2 without continues in less than an hour or something?...i didn't keep watch of the time but i watched her played and she's very good, i don't play metal slug so the screen looks very messy in my eyes...lol...

yeah it's pretty weird because after she finished alot people were surrounding the machine...it's like a tournament but no competitors...lol...

yea, I was listening to a lecture, and there's a study that's been done that has shown that women are better at multitasking than men.

SO, games like that, when you got 5 different things hitting you at once, I wouldn't wonder. Cause it looks messy to me too, and I know for a fact that I'd have one hard time manuvering, cause i'd probably be watching 2 bullets coming from me, from like a 45 angle difference. but itd miss the other two, and that grenade coming at an arc.

though, ROMS are great. i was a SNES nut, but I couldn't get a couple of the games I wanted. some I played and wanted too, but yea - never bought them.
and others are just too old. Like all my SNES games work fine, without blowing on the cartridge even. but my NES games were handed down to me by my cousin and those hardly work. but they're good titles nonetheless.
