Gallery Moderators

We are currently looking for multiple people to help with the growth of our gallery. It's not a very time intensive position, but you MUST like to contribute and oversee specific portions of the gallery. Broadband/high speed connection is favored, but as one of our current staff is on dialup internet, its quite okay. You WILL be browsing lots of images. Please reply in this thread with the following :

~ Any experience, relevent would be useful, but not required.
~ Knowledge of vBulletin, and possibly PhotoPost (our gallery software)
~ Timezone you live in or country, so we can schedule a time to meet online. (makes things easier)
~ Are you able to idle/log onto IRC (webchat does NOT count)
~ Which portion of the gallery would you like to moderate (multiple sections are okay.)
~ Why do you feel that you should have a position in the gallery team.
~ What do you think that you are able to contribute to the DaTorrents Gallery ?


Thats it for starters, now here is a bit on the requirements side. You MUST have a working knowledge of the english language. As we are indeed an international community, a vast majority of our users and staff speak only english. You must be able to communicate with them and not be misunderstood, as the gallery is one of the most visable and visited parts of datorrents. You must also be able to give up a little bit of free time. We ask that staff contribute regularly, not just move images, remove inappropriate material and communicate with users, but we would like people that have uploaded to the gallery in the past, and continue to do so. You must be a contributing member of the DaTorrents forums/gallery for at least 90 days/3 months before you are able to be considered for a position as a gallery moderator. In some cases this will be waived or reconsidered, but we prefer people that are showing a long term commitment to our community, rather than "I Just found your site, can I be a mod ?" You should also have contributed posts to the forums, and images to the gallery. Forum posts, should not be spam posts or in the games/spam sections, (yes we can check) and should be helpful and not rude or mean to anyone in any way at all.

If you feel that this is for you, please feel free to leave a reply in this thread with all of the information, and anything else you feel is important for us to know. And if you are chosen, I will pm you details for a short IRC visit and interview with other staff members.

I have some experience navigating vBulletin but not PhotoPost.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday through to Sunday from 11am EST up to 1am EST basically anytime in between there.

Yes, I can log onto IRC and idle.

Lolikon, Neko's, Ecchi, Yuri and Unsorted and Misc.

I've been a leecher here for awhile now and I don't want to be a burden to you guys anymore. I want to start contributing and helping out where I can. I look forward to your PM Reply on possible recruitment. =)

Yes, though I haven't used IRC much.

Yaoi, mostly. Shota and/or Guro would be fine too.

Because I want to give something more concrete for DaT than just reporting duplicates. I have too much time in my hands and this could be a really good pastime. And since DaTorrents gallery is probably the best one on the internet, I would like to keep it so.

I could share my rather large image collection.

mostly time and previous experience; I don't spend much time on other galleries so I wouldn't contribute pictures

I have runned my own forums, not created, but just runned, but mainly they were SMF or PHPBB...I still run forums. And yeah I am gigantic organized and also love to help!

Nope of both. But I like photographing and have a huge gallery of yaoi/shotacon/hentai. And I got Adobe Photoshop CS2/Picasa/Paint. Been on many vBulletin forums thought, but never was a admin or mod on it.

I would love to organize the shotacon gallery. Also my biggest dream is to create a organized gallery that is organized on kind of hentai, kind of anime/cartoon/game and character. Know a few animes, see myanimelist.net HERDERVRIEND. And yeah. I love to help.

Because I got great ideas. Because I got the drive. Because I love organization. Because I am bored quick with other things. Because a lot of yaoi I got is from this site.

I think I will be able to give you a new perspective. I am good at thinking of ideas and damn, if it was me, even this whole topic was organized even more xD Me so obsessed about ordening/organizing.
