Advertisements and other fun things ...

Well everyone...

After a couple weeks of sitting down with Delta, and going over options with just about _every_ advertising network available, nothing really panned out. So here's what we ultimately decided on. (Sit tight and bear with me, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.)

We most likely will pull our affiliations with ad networks and sell the ad space independently. Setting up a series of rotating banners (the top space will be cut and there will be 3 rotating ads.) With the number of page views and uniques we get in a month, this should actually look pretty appealing to many places to advertise at that spot! We will be charging $50 USD/mo for any one of the spots, and that will be viewable across all of datorrents; forums, gallery, and tracker included.

What that means to the site, lolis and others will be back, with them being publicly viewable (of course), so status quo will be restored. No more evil empire advertising companies/networks dictating what we can show/cannot show. In the end, this seems it will be our best option, but it still will require support from the community!

We'll also be doing some other things in order to help support datorrents. One of the big things will include 100 mbit (shared) VPS's (virtual servers) for seeding/hosting, with a majority of the profits going to pay dat's bills monthly. The vps's are sold/managed by FranTech and great for xdcc's and torrenting!

There will be more coming, so please keep your eye out here, I will also be adding this to the announcement section as well just so everyone can know what's going on.
