Help finding a good military Anime

Hello

I am in desperate need of a military anime, not WWII. Modern warfare anime a little bit like Full metal panic but more tactics less mecha. can you guys post some names? It would be greatly appreciated and before you ask iam not a nazi iam a military geek(i think military stuff is intresting). it would be great if the military anime's story was somewhere near present day and not like 2040 or 1940. plz ppl iam just a lonely military geek that want to watch some military anime.

Anidb is always helpful for anime genres. Glancing down that, I really enjoyed RahXephon (similar to FMP) and Martian Successor Nadesico (probably a little more mech than you would like)

a good mix of the two is code geass, lots of tactics in that but again it's alot of mecha. I love it personally.

'Wings of Honneamise'. More conspiracy than actual battle.

..it's hard to find titles, if what you're looking for are animes describing modern-day warfare and tactics.
