| (Roughly) 1. Full Metal Alchemist 2. Read or Die OVA 3. Cowboy Bebop 4. Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust 5. Gungrave Reasons why: What I really love is anime that can make me feel pain, sorrow or bring me close to tears. When it comes to action, I crave action that is intense and logically laid out, as opposed to feeling slow (charcaters mouthing off after every other blow) or cliched (repetitive use a characteristic spell/attack). All 5 of these animes are very strong in both respects, and stand head and shoulders above most every other anime. If I had more slots to pick I'd add Ghost in the Shell: SAC and Trigun. | |
