how many people here remembers tenchi muyo? i used to love that show and just wanted to know who's with me.

I have all of the Tenchi series on dvd, except for the newest Ryo-oki OVA. I love this series, but Tenchi in Tokyo was a real disappointment for me. Never really got into it.

The movies are quite amusing, but seem to put a different spin on the story to what the series did.

I watched this dubbed a couple of times, and it is absolutely horrible! I think it was the dubbing of a really annoying voice that made me dislike Sasami so much...

Tenchi seems to similar to AMG, but if I had to choose between the two, I would go for AMG: Urd is much more fun than Ryoko!

there's anyway to upload them. or least some of them. but yea that voice was kind of weird. what's AMG? i don't think i heard of it. if you would choose AMG over Tenchi it MUST be good.

Well the movies atleast the theory going around is that movie 1 is from the TV series. I think it may have even been confirmed. The second movie, is from the manga timeline of the OVA which split after Kagato i believe...or maybe after OVA2....The third movie i's not from any timeline. There is no movie from the OVA series really...unless you want to count the second one.

And well the dubbing of Tenchi is somewhat more well accepted mostly because of Pioneer's first OVA sub VHS releases where they put the entire dialogue in caps and large ones that took up almost the bottom 1/3 of the screen making it almost unwatchable. They corrected this in later versions, but the damage had been done already to some.

As for AMG or Tenchi....I'd have to say Tenchi....but if they could port Skuld from AMG that would be good.

Hmm....that might be something....i've been wanting to do a Tenchi Muyo! PBEM....maybe i could make a Tenchi/AMG mix one.
