Ah My Goddess!

My Current Obsession in Anime is Ah My Goddess...having watched the first couple of episodes and a few key episodes of Season 2 I've fallen in love with the series and am thinking of getting the manga for it [Or downloading it]

This is one of those few series that I fall in love with the characters right off from the start......

Belldandy is cute,she's sweet and must have infinte patience to put up with the other Goddesses....has a cute little sister who is more annoying at some times Skuld who has a Mallet of all things to chase bugs around and smash them...then you have the hot sexy Urd who happens to be Half Demon/Half Goddess and then you have the Lovely Peorth....who becomes obsessed with Keiichi....

So anyone else seen this series? Have a favorite character? Or just likes the storyline...it's a really funny Anime at times....

Especially the episode where Peorth makes a Seed of Love and it backfires and everyone who looks at Keiichi falls inlove with him....even urd fell for him along with Peorth and Skuld...it didn't work on Belldandy because she already is in love with Keiichi.....

Watched the OVA, movie and First TV series. Read vol 1. of the manga...

From the characters I've seen Skuld is my favorite, in both series. She is annoying, but in a cute kind of way...and not all that much really.

But um, yea Urd in the OVA i don't believe was half-demon. But then again, I can't remember them having Angels either.

Urd does have an angel just watched the episode where she called it out again...and saw the ep where Skuld grows into a young woman...that was funny...the two comparing who has the bigger breasts.....

Still Skuld does make a cute girl when she gets older...[Why Does that remind me of Sasami from Tenchi Muyo?]

I love AMG! I didn't think I'd like it, but the humour is verging on ecchi at times, and is brilliant! The contrasting personalities of the goddesses works really well together, so that everyone has a favourite (GO URD!).

It does remind me of Tenchi with the characters quite a bit (yes, I hate both Skuld and Sasami).I think this has taken the lead for me from Tenchi now though, as Tenchi kinda got a bit tedious after a while.

I haven't read the manga (probably will one day), but I've watched both series and the movie. I was actually really impressed with the film, such a loverly story

It's not your usuall anime that's for sure I normally used to watch only mecha, but when I first saw Onegai Teacher that lead me into the Romance/Comedy type Animes and now that I've seen Ah My Goddess....heck my sides hurt from laughing when I watch it....

Belldandy is just probably would be the PERFECT girlfriend for anyone.....but I still like Peorth but kinda dissapoints me with the way she treats Belldandy....just because they're rival goddesses doesn't mean that they can't be friends.

I just love how Urd always makes Skuld look like an idiot sometimes....but when Skuld Starts crying......It's like she's so cute then...then she's overly annoying....Just because she doesn't want Keiichi and Belldandy together and only wants Belldandy for herself....she's so selfish, Urd is at least trying to get the two to "Go All The Way" which is hillarious to see Keiichi's expressions on his face when he's comfronted with something.....

Saw that episode where Keiichi wanted to Confess his feelings to Belldandy under the moon and Skuld got in the way! Of course the scene with Urd in the Men's bath threatening to punish Keiichi if he doesn't go over and have a bath with Belldandy.....I was laughing my head off at that when he was sitting alone listening to Belldandy and Skuld talk about certain things that He of course was thinking pervertedly about that is what I could tell by the look on his face....

'Tis true that it is not your usual anime. If it was, I doubt it would have lasted as long as it has. Kind of hard to believe that it is about as old as I am and still going strong. Love the series, not as much as someone else but... (>_>);

Seen/read it all, except for the Mini-Goddess series. Too omake-ish for me. Must say though, the first generation character design was hard to swallow. I actually had to double check that I had the right series because it was so different. This fourth generation design is quite beautiful. Just wish there were more chapters from it. (>_<)

But, about what you said about the Belldandy/Peorth relationship... They are friends, it is just that the relationship is kind of based on rivalry. There are several cases of this spread around in different animes, in similar forms. Not too mention, every time those two have a "confrontation", it is, in some way, beneficial to one or the other. If you will recall, the two main times they "went at it", it was to help progress the relationship between Keichi and Belldandy.

This series just makes me wish I was keiichi.....the lucky son of a gun has three goddess's living with him....though when Peorth was with him he was running away from her......

I too didn't like the mini-goddesses it was a little too wacky,cute,and I couldn't stand how mini-urd looked.....I liked her full size version....

Skuld and Urd are always getting on each others Nerves......it's really funny to watch those two get mad at each other,then later they always end up apoligizing or getting along....of course Belldandy just goes about everything normally...

Keiichi is just lucky.......

I mean how can you not watch Ah My Goddess and laugh at the comedy that happens in every episode....or the wackyness that goes on between Urd and Skuld?

Can anyone recommend the mini-goddess series? I've got like 2 minutes into one episode then turned it off because it looked kinda retarded....

Is it anything like the original series?
