> Generally, manga because it usually explains more with the story and characters.

> Do I scanlate? I wish. Applied for Shoujomagic, but never got an answer. However, I do download scanlations.

> Yes. eMule Plus and Shareaza. uTorrent, if torrent is considered P2P.

> Yes, if you count the File Sharing sites like MegaUpload. Otherwise, no.

> With torrent, 80% or so. Excluding torrent, at most 5%.
Do you download anime licensed in your country?
> Sometimes. Only if it is a series I REALLY want to see (ex. Fate/stay night, it was licensed in the US before it aired in Japan, or so I have read.), a series that gets licensed half way through and a group continues fansubbing, or a series I had yet to see on store shelves (However, this final example is VERY rare.).
Do you buy licensed anime? If you answered yes to the previous question, does this make you less likely or more likely to buy licensed anime?
> Yes. And, more likely.

> Some things. Like, an anime's manga series, if exists. Or, models, especially Gundam models.

- what series? Currently Ergo Proxy, recently finished Blood+, Eureka seveN, Starship Operators.

- how long? Been an avid fan for almost 6 years, but I've watched anime before I knew what it was since I was a kid (Speed Racer, Astroboy, Mobile Suite Gundam)

If you have watched/or still watch anime, how did you first learn about it? Exposure through friends. Friend showed me an Evangelion AMV, and I watched the series, rest is history.

Do you prefer subtitled or dubbed anime? Dub with Sub, with option for Japanese track.

Do you prefer more literal translations or culturally acceptable translations? Literal, story is lost when its "Americanized"

- how often? Consitantly, I've re-read my entire collection (About 50-55 volumes) three or four times now.

- what genres? Romantic Comedy, Science Fiction, Fantasy.

- what series? Ai Yori Aoshi, Chobits, Love Hina, FLCL, RahXephon, Evangelion, Full Metal Panic!, Azumanga Daioh.

- how long? 4 years now.

If you watch anime and read manga, which do you prefer and why? I prefer both, you can't always watch anime, so i read manga in my spare time.

Do you fan translation of manga? No. I do read "Scanlations" though.

If you have watched/or still watch anime, how did you first learn about it? I saw Akira when I was about 11, and never thought anymore about anime until I met my fiance. We watched some dubbed stuff together on sci-fi (UK) and then just branched out when we realised there was a lot more out there

Do you prefer subtitled or dubbed anime? Subbed, although I do like Cowboy Bebop in English for some reason.... the voice actors seem to have been well chosen for this.

Do you prefer more literal translations or culturally acceptable translations? Culturally acceptable - I hate Engrish subs

If you watch anime and read manga, which do you prefer and why? I prefer anime, as it offers so much more; music, fully animated, a better character exploration
