I like all kinds of genres. right now my collection isn't that big but it's a wide variety. Right now I'm dl bleach and gintama and enjoy both.

I don't have any particular genre I like the best. I watch all different kinds, as long as it has a good plot and art I am happy to give anything a shot.

I mainly go for action and mystery if I'm looking at a anime. There are a few comedy ones I've run across I like.

I'd prefer the ecchi ones more if I felt there was a better story line behind them. As when I look at an anime that isn't an image or hentai, i'd expect a story or good comedy. Just bad story lines with ecchi really doesn't work with me.

I pretty much prefer anything science fiction-oriented, and I will admit that I consider mecha to be part of that.

However, I am open to watching any genre if the story is interesting and the animation is halfway decent.

I prefer Mystery Action Comedy Ecchi Sci-Fi etc... but mostly the thing that i love about a anime is the story if its interesting then i will watch.

For me it's any anime with a healthy mix of violence and comedy with at least a half-decent storyline (there are some exceptions).

I like Depressing animes, i know that sounds strange but its true, Depressing animes just generally tend to have more heart behind them, Happy/Sappy animes tend to have lack of character developement and plot.

Code Geass, great anime in my opinion, very depressing.

Elfen Lied great anime, very sad.

My list goes on for about 3 more pages but ill stop at these 2, Happy animes generally lose me at about episode 3-4, its great that everyone is happy and funny stuff happens but in the end its usually not enough to keep the story going for me at least.

Which isnt to say I dont like happy Endings I mean everyone likes when the guy ends up with the girl of his dreams, and everyone ends happly ever after, i just have a problem when it really seems like the character started off in great lives and not alot really changed in the end.

Other than that I also like Mecha, action, romance, and just about any anime style as long as its done right.
