I watch just about everything listed in the poll, but my preference seems to lean towards things with a slight (or great) gender bender theme. E.g. Utena, Princess Princess, Ouran High Host Club, Rose of Versailles.

But yes, not fussy, as I categorise anime into: Watch Seriously, Watch While Eating, Watch When Brain Switches Off, Watch To Clear Off HDD NOW!!!11eleventy!! Thus, just about anything can fall into one or more of those categories. XD

Pretty much anything, but mecha ones have to have a good storyline in them to compel me...or a lot of comedy, in general. In fact, i can probably coun't the number on one hand of mecha ones i like.

If they are well written they're good, but generally they are basically just get in a mecha and fight and basically the same.

Let's see then...
Escaflowne TV series
Evangelion
Full Metal Panic series
Xenosaga anime

I may be missing one or two series....but, like i said they really in general have to have an outstanding storyline.

Me personally, I like Romantic Comedy's, Sci-Fi, Mecha, and Fantasy.

Bonus if two or more of the genre's are mixed

I could only guess that School themed anime, like Azumanga Daioh, fall under their particular genre's theme, in this instance, comedy.

I like action or sports mangas in which the main characters improve with training and hard work. I know it's cheesy, but it appeals to me as a lazy person who greatly respects people who can be bothered making such an effort. Currently my favourite anime is probably Naruto, but I liked Hunter xHunter and Hikaru no Go more when they were still running, and I don't like the fillers at all (since they make the characters look dumb).

Followed By Comedy then Sci-fi then Ecchi(must be paired with one of the previous) Or action with a little mysticisim in there never hurt
Gundam(all series(except that computer Generated one UGH!!!)) Big O, Macross, Vandred, etc etc etc... and lets not forget Voltron (and Ill form the Head)

I mostly watch action/comedy/sports/harem type animes but anything with a good character development is good enough for me

I like those "Slice of Life" ones. They aren't about anything special, but they tend to have insight on many things we just slip by unnoticed.

As for the ones mentioned, I guess I checked all except the Mecha (which I've seen but never really left an everlasting impact, e.g. GunxSword) and I guess the Sci-Fi, although I really didn't know how to divide the line between Sci-Fi and Fantasy. I guess something like Planetes? would fall there, and I haven't seen that yet. XD.
