I like sci-fi, magic, ecchi, & comedy most but there are some romance and drama that I enjoy.

if i had to choose, it would have to be action above the rest. though i am rather partial to comedy and ecchi as well lol

Comedy, Romance, Drama, Horror, Magical, Action.. all of those are good, but I usually have to have at least a few comedic moments thrown in here and there to like the series overall. It can't be TOO depressing, or at least it can't be that way and STAY that way relentlessly. The only one I don't watch is Mecha, because too much sci-fi without the fantasy just doesn't seem to hold my interest. I did like Kannazuki no Miko a lot though.

I'm not much a fan of either Mecha or samurai-themed animes, but apart from that, anything goes really. Favourites are Comedy and Drama I suppose. :-]
