Posts: 30 | So what's was the first anime YOU ever watched? Just a little fun question, and I would certainly not be suprised if there already is a topic like this somewhere. What was the first anime you ever watched? After all, most of us live outside Japan and anime wasn't around that much when we were young. Anyway, while Pokémon was the first show that made me learn what anime actually was (I must've been 8-10 years by then), my very first anime (OK, maybe I saw some less important shorts, but this is my first real one) was a very old show... a Super Robot anime called "Chojin Sentai Balatack" (here's the opening!), wich originally aired in Japan in 1977 (and no, I'm not over 30 years old, I simply got some videotapes of this around the year 1995). I loved robots as a kid and I still like 'em now, so I still love this show. Oh yeah, the show was simply named "Balatack" over here. I also saw some other good anime shows in my early childhood, like the masterpiece that is Robotech. Yeah, I've grown up with robots and I'm a total geek when it comes to them, heh. Posts: 1,078 | I want to say it is Unico, going by the description, but the anime style isn't as I remember it. Then there was Voltron, Samurai Troopers, then a nice loooong break until I can get my hands on Tenchi, Eva, and Princess Mononoke with Japanese audio and Korean subs (that was fun. XP)
