Just have to admit that this genre is my favourite.

Mai hime, tore me apart many times, waiting for ep 16 was very sad and still a bit confusing.

Saikano, also a beautiful sad story, liked the [E-F & A-E] subbers comment at the end of the 10th ep; The happiness in saikano ends here, so stop now If you want it to end somewhat happy.
Though I didnt stop ¨-¨:..

Vision of Escaflowne, not too sad but emotionally touching.

Other as already mentioned here was some scenes from Gundam Seed and berseker.. =P

^ Yes! I have to agree that AIR is an emotional anime. In fact, I nearly teared up with every sad part of it. Also, Kanon is somewhat emotional too.

AIR, never give me any emotion moment, in fact i do think this series is crap, especially the ending

Mai Otome gives me a bit of emotion touching when Erstin Ho get kill!

the only one that moved me was the end of fma, talk about no resolution...well sorta, but he doesnt remember anything, it sad =(

Both Grave of the Fireflies and Air TV made me cry at the end, especially Air TV though.

Surprisingly Grave of the Fire Flies didn't make me feel that emo compared to shows that seemed really unrealistic compared to it, like Fruits Basket, or Naruto. I haven't seen Evangelion in a long while, but when that undercover guy who had a relationship with the captain or w/e rank lady died, I felt pretty emo.
