Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien and Kanon really got to me. Also Da Capo was incredible although I think the first season was better than the second. I can't believe they made Hentai games into anime of such incredibly high quality. Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien is especially great since there is no supernatural aspects, just a clear view of the human condition. I've imagined myself being in that situation and it really makes you wonder what you would do.

Like SPIDERDAVE said Hughes dying is definetly a sad moment. but of all the anime i"ve ever seen, which is somewhat considerable, the moment that really brought a tear to my eye was when Rosette and Chrono die at the end of Chrono Crusade. To this day that is still the saddest moment I've ever seen in an anime series/movie. Does anyone agree?

well maybe i'm the only person but I didn't got emo from kimi ga nozumo eien, grave of the fireflies and Saikano, sry about that. from Gundam SEED that was great the emotions, I burst into crying on some episodes and Chrono Crusade the last 3-4 eps. got me

I'm sad now because i had almost forgotten all those sad things now they are coming back but the thing in anime that make me the most emotional is where something bad happens to a character and no one there to save them :'(

Yup, Rosette and Chrono dying in Chrono Crusade was fairly sad, but, somehow I felt a particular twinge when Debonair slew Eagle Vision at the very end of Magic Knight Rayearth 2. That sucked. ... Never actually felt a tear coming on when watching anime at all, though.

And, yes, Grave of the Fireflies was just plain depressing.

... Da Capo was once a hentai game? Sorry if that was a stupid question, but, while an anime fan, I don't think I've been around the block near as much as the average person around here.
