| RevanFlame's pet | JULY anime recommendation Its my favourite time of the month again! The time when people recommend me an anime series, so I can download something new ^^ So this month, I am going to recommend a series I watched recently that had me absolutely hooked. Mai Hime http://anidb.info/perl-bin/animedb.p...anime&aid=1554 I very nearly didn't start watching this series because I don't generally like "kiddy" looking series. But don't be fooled by the anime style. This is nothing like pokemon, zoids or the likes, the storyline is much more mature. It has everything, laughs, tears and a lot of ecchi jokes. The soundtrack is amazing too. The characters are all very endearing, and yet so different. I mean, who wouldn't want to adopt their own Mikoto after watching this?? I've just started Mai Otome (Mai Hime 2), and I have to say I'm not as impressed, but hey it might grow on me after the first episode. Anyways, Mai Hime gets a 8/10 from me. H.

Posts: 1,078 | Mai-HiME was good (ShizNats <3) and could you honestly expect anything less from a Kajiura Yuki OST? I recommend people stay on the look out for the soon to start NHK ni Youkoso (http://anidb.info/perl-bin/animedb.p...anime&aid=4121) and the short second half of Honey and Clover (http://anidb.info/perl-bin/animedb.p...anime&aid=4422) Also, if it is ever finished, try BLOOD+. Damn good, and I regret getting into it so late. (T_T) And, the world could always use some more Rozen Maiden. ;P

Anyhoo, aside from The Third, series that are continuing through July I'd recommend would be Ouran High School Host Club (this is NOT shounen-ai, though that's what I thought when I first saw it... I love this show, makes me laugh every ep). Honey & Clover II. The first ep for the second season is mostly a recap of the first season. I loved the first season, so let's hope second season is also good. ![]() Other ones I'm looking forward to, but are not subbed by any group yet are: NHK ni Youkoso! Brave Story | ||
