I have had all 4 for probably about a year, but cause of the amount of time I get to play them, I am only half way through the third one....

Is there any real use to the grunty's, apart from them being like chocobo's that you can ride round the battle arena?

Do you play all of the side quests? Discovering all of the new characters and stuff? I usually find they suck... Gardenia isn't very good anyways >.<

You should do all of them and get all the people cause they lead you to special locations for rare items. and gunties are very useful. if your on a grunty the field portals don't open so you can get to dungoins saftly.

I have to admit the .hack games have intrigued me for a while. However the game shops here don't know anything about imports, and the anime shops will import anything BUT the games.

Its rather strange that the local gaming press here complain about most games being too short, and yet the .hack games wern't released outside japan.

Looks like another game which few people bought it so there aren't enough copies around. This isn't helped by it taking ages to complete so people horde it.

Gandor, the .hack games were released all over, not just Japan. I certainly have the PAL version (Europe) and did not have to import. They are also available in the US, so I'm not sure where you are if you can't get them!
