My first anime was Initial D. I still keep up with it now, up to 4th stage.

Being raised in a place without cable for most of my early childhood, I don't recall seriously. Being korean, I attended sat. school from a young age, so didn't get to watch TV (meaning being exposed to those crappy things). So in fact, I don't know what anime I saw first, I remember seeing Sailor Moon when I was in S. Korea, and also seeing RoboBoy as well. I also remember going to my grandma's to watch DBZ reruns when Goku fought against freeza ( never seemed to go past that for a really really long time).

I'm proud to say that the first anime I ever saw was vampire hunter D. I definatly dont regret that. was over 11 years ago now.

My first anime i ever saw, was, um, Speed Racers. I didnt know it was anime, but i knew it was way more cool than Mickey Mouse, Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, or the one where a bear named Baloo flying a red hydroplane... dont know its original title... it was dubed in russian ;P. Anyway. I loved it, Then there was a very interesting Cendibel... Transformers, (i think its still anime), um, and Sailor Moon. Strangely, i hated Candy-Candy. But loved other animes. I loved The Saber rider and star sherrifs from first sight. Those were all favs from `pre-era`. Every anime i would see back then was memorised and very cool.

But then we got cable.

And i saw the episode where Goku gets beaten badly by Picollo Daimou. Dubbed in german. Also i played emulation snes, and thats only way a kid could get pawns on the japanese rpg here in Lithuania :P. i loved squares, but i got very touched by Magic Knights RayEarth in translation. i drooled to see it. but it was nowhere to find. I was greatly impressed by Toriyama's masterpieces: Dr.Slump, and Dragon Ball, and still think its rare to find such a great work unless you have good taste ;P. um, I love Toriyama. as his shows were best. There were weird animes, like Doremi, digimon, Wedding Peach,Soul hunter, but i was just interested in DB. then i found there was DBZ {:P) that was fun! but not enought to sink me in love for all nime as an art itself. it was just fun watching. all except DB... Until they put Magic Knights on air. dubbed in polish ;P. That was awesom. After all my fav anime type is Mahou shoujou

That Clamp's piece got me all into anime. now im having it in OGM and im as happy to see it as it was the first time in 2001.

D. I love Miyazaki too.

First anime I ever saw was Macross: The Robotech Saga, I don't remember how old I was but this had to have been 15 years ago at least, and man it rocks to this day. Then years latter the show that really dragged me into hardcore animefandom was Blue Seed.

I watched "Battle of the planets" on TV way back when it was originally aired,
and "Lupin" on tv when it aired too, that's going waaay back...

but the first video tape I got to watch when I really knew it was anime was
Pop Chaser

followed by Project A-Ko, and all the rest of course...
Urususei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Kimagure Orange Road, etc

I think I saw my first anime when I was 5... Animes seen in chronological order! YAY! lol, well, Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball GT, Inuyasha, Witch Hunter Robin, .Hack, Naruto, then came every anime I could get my hands on ^^. My first anime bought was Full Metal Alchemist. I still watch most of these animes excluding .hack, witch hunter robin, all dragon ball incarnations, and pokemon. But the main amount of anime I have seen came from my first anime convention, over 3 days, I spent at least a bare minimum of 24 hours in the theatres ^^. Well, I'm tired so g'night ^^.

Way before I even knew what anime was, I'd watch a bit of DBZ before having to go to church on sunday mornings. Eventually they showed it in the afternoons and I could watch it there, but Pokemon was the first one I really got into. I would wake up extra early so I could watch it before school. Since it was on at like 6 AM where I lived.

That was good times. The Pokerap owned.
