Some recent mkv dont display subtitle while playing it

In my case, I just download Nogizaka Haruka S2 epi 4 from Doki fansub. Quality is pretty good, for some reason the damn subtitle dont display.

Doki's Nogizaka Haruka S2 epi 3 subtitle work well. But somehow not episode 4. Someone tell me earlier that this is some kind of bug interfere the operation. So now I got a question to anyone out there that can help me. How to fix this problem?

Well, I'm not home atm, and I didn't watch Nogizaka Haruka S2... Anyway...

I assume that you have the current CCCP version installed, right?

You could try:
- play with Media Player Classic
- in MPC's Options:
Playback > Output: VMR9 (renderless) if something else is selected,
Playback: enable "auto-load subtitles" if currently disabled or disable if enabled
- ffdshow video decoder settings (the red icon in Quick Launch corner) :
enable "Subtitles" if currently disabled or disable if enabled
enable / disable Accept embedded subtitles, SSA/...
- DirectVobSub (if displayed in Quick Launch while playing the video) :
disable / enable "Show only forced subtitles"
- Haali Media Splitter (if displayed in Quick Launch while playing the video) :
Languages > Subtitle language priority: eng (or eng, jpn)
Languages > Audio and Subtitle languages: jpn,eng

- play with VLC media player, MPlayer, Zoom Player (installed with CCCP), The KMPlayer

- uninstall CCCP (and evtl. any other codecs) and install CCCP again with settings reset (when asked on installation)

I've problems with subtitles too from time to time and at least one of the steps above always led to success - even excluding VLC media player and other players. (I prefer MPC and would use other players only if the situation is completely hopeless^^)

I dont have CCCP. The subtitle issue only show in recent times. From when I accept mkv till now, is already like 3-4 years already; I dont have any subtitle problem up until now.

Haali media splitter is something I dont quite recommend anyone use it. It is because their latest version is so unstable that can almost your computer.

Thank Soran, I just use the KM Player for now.
