Details below:
That serie was about a boy from the dinosaur era, he's brought to the future because he was put in some sort of stone something. A boy and his sister found him and his father fossilized, they brought the fosils to there father who turned the boy back to normal, but the father couldnt be saved se he was turned into a stone kind of hammer. Together they travel with the twins through time as police, to hunt down creatures and to preserve the time line.
(Thats the plot sorta, it was really a kick butt serie!

)
