have you ever been dissapointed by an anime ending?

The ending of Cowboy Bebop. I refuse to accept that as the end. Remember the nano!

Gantz. I mean, what the hell happened? Someone may understand it and be able to explain it to me, I have a halfway idea about it, but I would sure appreciate seeing it spelled out.

I hate endings that express as much meaning, finality, and summation as does a television commercial for some trendy cologne.

Wow! i never expected that many people to have been dissapointed, but there are pages of posts here. I thorght there would only be a few, but there are loads. You would have thorght that anime writers/producers would listen to the fans, but obviously many don't.

Do you think we should get together and sign a pettition to the companies or something? which ones seem criminaly left hanging or rushed ending? any that you thin need a sequal?
maby ill make another thread about that idea. ill have a look if one exists already first.

i just finished watching Wolf's Rain and I think that it is just like you said. ^

I thing the last episodes are quite surreal when the main characters are killed off one by one. when the car fell down the cliff, her death was so sudden, that i actualy felt some of her exhusbands numbness. and as for the last episode, well, that has to be a rechord for the number of main characters killed in an episodealthough i am in no way an expert in anime and have watched only a few compared to the many seasoned professionals on here!

I think it is to put the suspense until the end of the film, but I understand your discomfort and it is true ... at the end of most animes leave more questions than answers, but they do so with the sole purpose of having a basis for making A second part.....

Yes! Inuyasha ending KILLED me! I got so upset about it, the anime never really ended, just sort of said it was going to go on like it was for a while.

I know what you mean by that. Prime example of an inconclusive ending are Tsukuyomi~ Moon Phase, Darker Than Black, Ai Yori Aoshi, Ichigo 100%, Gunslinger Girl, and many other anime.

The ending of Darker Than Black leaves us viewers with a lot of open questions like why does Hell's Gate exist, etc. Moon Phase's ending still has not addressed the questions such as the identity of Hazuki's father.
