I went to see it last night and absolutely loved it. It was awesome and hilarious. Captain Jack Sparrow <3. There isn't that much gore... it was more of special effects and make-up, which I thought was amazing. The water wheel scene was the absolute best. I liked Keira Knightley in this one better than the first one, especially when she was on the beach watching 3 men fight. Hopefully, that isn't too much of a spoiler. >_>;

As for the timing, I did think it was a bit too long. I missed the end part after the credits. >_< I rarely stay for credits unless they show bloopers. Can't wait for the 3rd one though.

Overall I loved the movie so much, it was a really good sequel, but the ending bothered me quite a lot, it just left it so open for a third and I cannot WAIT that long for the third movie!!!

I love Johnny Depp, he is my love, and I will marry him and have his hot children, yes yes yes.

Let's hope it doesn't do a matrix ending, or I will me VERY UPSET. In other words, destroying all around me =)))

The movie was great it was way better than the first. The first was good but this movie did show plenty of comedy and character development. I didn't know that there was more at the end of the credits I don't like when movies tend to do that. Can you tell me with spoiler tags what happened?

Good movie, sword fighting was cool, Kraken was cool, Keira was really hot, ending sucked (cliff hangers are evil).

Am I the only one hopeing for lots of Barbossa screen time in the next movie?

I think he will have a bigger role in the 3rd one since he will be helping them to get Jack back.

I liked Pirates of the Caribbean 2 BUT I liked the first one better.
The one thing about this one is they obviously did more story elements than humor.
The only problem I had with it is that it seemed to dark at times & I couldn't hear what they were saying sometimes (I blame the crappy movie theater). OTHERWISE it is probably the best movie I have seen all summer. =D

Quick Fact:

they Shot the second movie and it's sequel together

they did a LOTR and Matrix on it

so our wait wont be that long,

now just like everyone else said "lets all hope the ending isn't as bad as Matrix's"

Well, the third one is dated for release in 2007. They might move the release date to an earlier time, but who knows. Still going to be a while.

With all the money they are making with this? No way are they going to do a early release, expect it to be out next summer.
