| Experienced ![]() | Favorite American Made Horror Movie Felt like this part of the forum could use some more threads. So what better way then one about American horror movies. (even though the best horror movies come from Asia) So what are some of your favorite?? Mine are Outpost & Deathwatch, two good movies that combined war movies & horror. And the good playing with your mind horror something away from the horror featuring everyday people with a lot of gore. Outpost was a good movie could have used a better story but it did the feeling of being trapped very well. Then there is Deathwatch a movie about about a group of British soldiers during WW1 who get lost in the fog and end up in a abandoned German forward trench. I really like the feel of the movie the weather how its always raining and the blinding fog; The ending of the movie is really good, it leave you wondering. The scariest movies for me are zombie ones the idea of everyone is trapped everywhere always on the run or defending no rest. So know what are your favorite horror movies, what type of horror scares you the most?

| Banned ![]() | Best American horror movies, hm. To be honest I haven't really watched that many lately, even with fear net for free with comcast. I know I liked the original saw movie. I watched Drive-thru. That clown just hacking people was pretty good. Though the plot was beyond terrible. Scream and movies with Jason Voorheese(Spell check his name?) scared me a little. The movies with Freddy Kreuger were great ![]() Last edited by cyal8erloser : 07-16-2008 at 08:02 AM. |

i found the Grudge (US remake) quite scary, i have yet to watch the original version of it. i rate Horror movies like this: if they make me change the channel during the movie= FAIL if they make me look over my shoulder after the movie= good movie. the ulitmate is if they effect my dreams. so far IT the clown lays claims to that.

| Spammer ![]() | I usually watch most of the horror movies that come out these days as well as the 1's from the past. My big issue with alot of them these days is they just go for gore and don't seem to worry about an interesting characters or stories. I seem to prefer horror movies with more suspense than straight out gore, like the Final Destination movies, most of the asian horror movies (the originals) like Ringu. Ju-on, etc. And you can't forget the oldies but goodies like Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm St and American Werewolf in London. |
