I tried registering for second account and I had no problem following the link and activating the account. After I confirm it was created I deleted it. So unless I am over looking something, I am not entirely sure what the cause of the problem is. Sometimes people have trouble following links directly from email, try copying the link location and pasting it in to your browser. You might also consider trying a differently email provider, perhaps Hotmail is some how corrupting your link (just a wild guess).
