You can try
GParted Live CD I believe it will do non-destructive partitioning. Still I recommend you backup anything you want to keep just in case, it would be a shame to lose your data for a game.
You could probably install the game to a flash drive, the files the install creates aren't very big. It would certainly be safer than messing with partitions. You just have to the flash drive plugged when you wanted to play. Just remember after you install it, it still makes use of install files so you can't delete the folder you extract the RAR archive to or the game will stop working.
