| Yup, Rosette and Chrono dying in Chrono Crusade was fairly sad, but, somehow I felt a particular twinge when Debonair slew Eagle Vision at the very end of Magic Knight Rayearth 2. That sucked. ... Never actually felt a tear coming on when watching anime at all, though.
And, yes, Grave of the Fireflies was just plain depressing.

... Da Capo was once a hentai game? Sorry if that was a stupid question, but, while an anime fan, I don't think I've been around the block near as much as the average person around here.
