Most sub groups release their subs hard subbed. Even if its soft subbed, its in the .mkv file itself. I've yet to meet a group that publicly releases .ssa or .srt files. Reasons? To make it harder for other groups to use them, and even if other groups use them, these other groups need to make sure that its timed and sync'ed properly with their anime raw.
Really, best way and easiest way to get the english subs is to dl the hardsubbed eps yourself.
