As of today November 27, we will no longer allow bmp uploads to the gallery. The reasons are rather simple, first off, it takes a single mouse click to save a file in a much more compressed type (jpg or png are ideal,) rather than a larger bmp supporting limited colors, and also a LARGE filesize compared to the comparative jpeg.

The gallery also does not support thumbnailing of bmp images, which makes the staff's job much more difficult in terms of weeding out illegal content, or images posted to the wrong categories.
