| I see Ghost in the Shell is not in your list, and that is quite an awesome series/movie. If you like that kind of thing, I would also recommend Ergo Proxy. It's quite a new one, and if you do enjoy a slightly more intellectual anime, then Noein is very deep into relativity.
Berserk is a great fantasy/gore series, and the story is amazing. Gantz is also a lot of fun.
Just have a look on anidb and see what takes your fancy ^^
