How about a combination of Blood+ and a dating sim set in pre-revolutionary France, with alien Mecha, hot cyborg police women from space, a clumsy yet lovable ninja girl with a tradgic past, throw in some Brotherhood of the Wolf (indian kung-fu), add a pinch of Black Lagoon (loads of gun play, chainsmoking and tight cutoffs), and have Luis XIV be evil alien (like that dude in Stargate except his giant wig is his mask). And the main character needs to be from the future, but not for that world's future, he must be from the future of an alternate world in which everyone lives Mad Max style in the desert, I think of him like that guy in Six-String Samurai except less Buddy Holly like and modeled after Chris Tucker. He is accompanied by a well-read and wise-cracking telepathic dog named Blood. Who doesn't want to see that?
