You're half right, Linux is a good OS, I've used it several times in the past when a copy of Windows was not avliable to me, Now here comes the big *** "But".
Yes, Windows is a peice of crap, so don't go spouting that on me, until they start making Mainstream games for Linux, i will continue to use Windows.
Linux is unforgiving, if something screws up you're basicly screwed. With windows, there's a good chance you can fix it (I don't know how many times Windows XP Safe mode or Norton System Works as saved my ***). I've had a Fedora Core (Latest Stable Build) install crap out on me and compleatly destroy the boot sector on my primary hard drive (Which had all my personal information and documents, and I was
royally pissed), and here's the kicker, I didn't do anything except reboot the machine after logging into linux for the first time.
Linux has a LONG way to go before it comes anywhere near being as accepted by general computer users as Windows or OSX. It may be free, which is kewl, but for now, I would only recomend it for people who know what they are doing with computers.
