| How to obtain amazing (raping) upload speeds? Well, being the leecher I am, I often find myself in a bad situation, having a bad share ratio.
Now usually, I just leave the computer on for weeks and weeks just constantly seeding, but when I have a ratio of say.... 0.3 (boxtorrents 90GB:250GB~), then I would be holding up the internet for a long time indeed.
My cable connection downloads in BT at 800kbps-1mbps, I would think that my upload would be equally impressive.
That is not the case, as my upload speeds in BT rarely go past 40kbps and usually average at 20-25kbps.
Is it a problem with my system/program configuration?
Also, is it perfectly normal for the rest of the network's connections to slow down to a dialup speed or a near halt when seeding at the above speeds? When I seed, literally noone else on the network can use the internet.
I currently use Comcast "High Speed Internet", which advertises something like 6mbit down and 1mbit up; Azureus, when seeding, unlimited UL, 10-50 upload slots per torrent, usually 1-2 torrents seeding at once and none downloading. |
