There are some good points made above, but I have to disagree slightly with the above post.

Most of the people who drive slow will cause accidents, but probably not be part of them. Example? When I drive to work, the speed limit is 50mph. It gets really annoying when people drive over that road at 35mph (sometimes slower, and always an old person). This happened a couple of days ago, and there was a huge backlog of traffic stuck behind an old dodderer in a Clio.

The guy in front of me (directly behind this person) decided to overtake on a blind corner. You could see he was absolutely fuming, gesticulating and waving. It was a dangerous manoeuvre, but this was caused by someone going 15mph below what he should have been doing.

I guess they were both in the wrong.

But I still believe you should be retested every couple of years once you hit 60. People lose their reflexes and become increasingly dangerous (as shown by an old chap reversing out of his driveway and straight into the side of my friends car).
