- The form of advertisement
I agree with what MakaiSenki said about ADs
here.
I think it would be a better solution for everyone (for us as well as for the advertising company) to use the following schema:
Text advertisement:
- something like "sponsored by... " at the bottom of the pages or below the images (between the image and comments tables) if technically possible
Images:
- stored locally on datorrents (because many people have the whole AD servers blocked with adblock)
- not too big
- rather modest (no flash, no animated gifs, only worksafe content)
- Who would advertise with us?
But sure the real problem is that it might be difficult to find a company that considers an AD on a site featuring loli a good deal.
I would suggest to try to explain the possible sponsors why it's most likely a win for them:
- The most people who visit DaTorrents either like loli or at least don't mind it.
- Even random visitors are the ones who look for something anime or Japan related and have a higher tolerance to loli H than an average person.
- The chances are that even among the people who don't actively support loli quite a few like it. They may be just too shy or too cautious. In the eyes of these people a company that supports a H site/gallery including the loli section would look cool. Let alone the avid loli fans like me
- Now, their biggest problem would be not some random visitors who find loli offensive/evil, but a hate campaign by a competitor or by some loli haters. I'm not sure how big could be their loss due to such a campaign, but if their main target audience are anime & Japan fans, the chances are that it will not be too big, or they even become more popular.
The bottom line: the number of loli haters is exaggerated, the number of loli fans is underestimated. I don't even need to refer to mostly pro-loli forums/sites. Take a look the web log entry and the poll results below. The poll was created by a loli hater and linked to her article where she bashes loli.

I think that quite a few of the bureaucrats responsible ADs related decisions live in the past. The fact that adbrite doesn't mind shota shows it clearly. If they even don't know a simple term like shota, how are they supposed to guess what will attract anime fans?
I wonder if we could find a more progressive company and make them listen to what we have to say... It's not like we lie or something...
I hope the loli gallery will be back. It would be great if it was accessible for anonymous users again as well. Imo
a gallery with all possible H sections and anonymous access promotes the values of freedom and tolerance. I for one rarely visited the gallery, I prefer entirely different sources (don’t ask). Yet I donated. Why? See the blue text.
