It is extraordinary how people have been so pigeonholed and terrified into avoiding being in any way associated with "child pornography," even when such supposed child pornography is a fantasy drawn by an artist and involves no actual human being. I think that the constant fear and obsession with this issue is actually making the problem worse, driving it deeper underground and causing those who traffic in it to become ever more entrenched in their ways - which leads them to work harder to expose their viewpoints and spread them to others. It is no doubt having this effect, as we see ever more instances and examples of actual CP pervading the 'net and real life despite frantic efforts, draconian laws and insane schemes by the US and a few other wealthy nations to stop it. (Maybe the US and GB can arrest all of the citizens of Japan, Mexico, dozens of Caribbean islands and most of southeast Asia and put them on registries as undesireables! Sorry...)

DaTorrents, I truly hope you bring back the lolicon gallery soon. I very much enjoy all hentai, including lolicon, as part of what I consider (and what many do not) a healthy fantasy life. People like what they like not because of a choice made at some imaginary point in their lives, but because that is simply what they enjoy! Lolicon is one example of an art form, and a pleasant one at that. There are very good and correct reasons for suppressing child pornography as destructive to a society, but once you start looking under every nook and cranny for "possible" violations of a taboo, you start choking off all sorts of important freedoms.

I hope this rant made sense. It's just that I saw this coming and was not in the least surprised. Let's hope datorrents finds some new advertisers, perhaps some based in non-US locations if possible. Most of the rest of the world doesn't have the hypocritical hang-ups the US has.

What about putting a request up on the front page asking for 1.00 from every visitor via paypal just once a month (or some similar payment method). I'm thinking there are LOTS of visitors to the site, and what's a buck? I'm sure many people would drop a dollar for all the good things the site offers, and then we can all get back to our "sick" imaginary lives in peace without some corporate ad clowns running them for us for our own good.

P.S. Administrators, maybe you can give us a breakdown of site costs for each month. I've never been able to understand why these types of sites cost so much to run, being a runner of a *small* website of my own. Perhaps seeing the numbers can also get some people motivated to donate a few dollars now and then! (Also, what about making the galleries accessible only after someone pays a 1.00 each month?)

Okay, I'm done now, really.
